BroadbandMT
BroadbandMT will award one $1,500 scholarship (renewable for two additional years for a total of $4,500) to a current or incoming educator who commits to teaching for three consecutive years in eligible Montana schools.
Wyoming Telecommunications Association
The Wyoming Telecommunications Scholarship is awarded to students studying higher education with a focus on telecommunications industry technical skill development. The student, student’s parent(s) or legal guardian(s) must receive telecommunication services from a participating Wyoming Telecommunications Member.
Foundation for Rural Service
The Foundation for Rural Service awards scholarships to rural students for their first year of college or vocational school. A partnership with NTCA-The Rural Broadband Association member company is required to apply.
WTA Advocates for Rural Broadband
Since 2008, the WTA Foundation has awarded more than $500,000 in academic and trade school scholarships to graduating high school seniors of WTA members.
Foundation For Rural Service Youth Tour – Washington, D.C.
In high school and have an interest in the telecommunications industry? Want to meet new friends while touring the nation’s capital? Range, in conjunction with the Foundation for Rural Service, is once again sponsoring an exciting opportunity for high school students to win what has been referred to as a “trip of a lifetime.”
Joined by over 100 other students from across the country, one high school student in Range’s service area will receive an all-expenses-paid trip to Washington, D.C. to participate in the Foundation for Rural Service Youth Tour from June 1-5, 2026.

You’ll visit iconic historical sites like the Washington Monument and U.S. Capital while also getting an inside look at the telecommunications industry and the process of government.
To enter, write a 250-word essay or up to a 5-minute video answering the following: How does broadband impact daily life in YOUR rural community? Material must be emailed to youthtour@range.net or be postmarked by April 1, 2026 to Range, Attn: Youth Tour, PO Box 127, Forsyth, MT 59327.
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
Applicants must be high school students aged 15-17 at the time of the Youth Tour, have parental/legal guardianship authorization and receive voice or broadband service from Range while residing in one of the following exchanges: Montana (342, 346, 347, 356, 421, 427, 436, 477, 554, 592, 757, 784, 828, 984) or Wyoming (283, 736, 737, 750, 758, 878).
