Frackelton’s Fine Food & Spirits, nestled in the heart of Sheridan, Wyoming, is more than just a restaurant— it’s a community landmark with deep local roots. Originally opened as Oliver’s in the early 2000s, it was purchased by Kim Love in 2013 and renamed Frackelton’s to honor the building’s rich history. The name pays tribute to Dr. William Frackelton, a dentist who once practiced in the very same building, adding a unique historical charm to the dining experience.

For many Sheridan residents, the restaurant holds sentimental value, having hosted countless life events over the years. The legacy of Dr. Frackelton, the “Sagebrush Dentist” from 1893, adds an air of nostalgia, making each visit a step back in time.

After a temporary closure, the restaurant reopened under the ownership of Kim Love, Ryan Winner, and Tanner Beemer, with Tim Kerr joining as the new general manager. Tim, originally from South Carolina, settled in Sheridan to be closer to his wife’s family. He enjoys the small-town feel, where familiar faces and personal connections with customers make his job all the more rewarding.

Frackelton’s prides itself on delivering consistent, high-quality dining experiences. The restaurant incorporates products from local businesses and offers a selection of local brews, creating a menu that celebrates Sheridan’s unique flavors.

Community support is a cornerstone of Frackelton’s values. Each year, the restaurant participates in “Dining for a Cause,” a charity event founded by Kim Love. On November 16th, 2024, proceeds from the restaurant’s sales went to the veterans’ program at Sheridan College, with other local businesses joining in to magnify the impact.

The fine dining spot also values its partnership with Range, utilizing broadband services and a 3CX phone system. Tim praised Range’s knowledgeable staff for their seamless assistance, particularly Gabe Rees and Dave Harrah, who ensured a smooth transition to the new system.
