High School Students Win a Trip to Washington D.C.

Range, in conjunction with the Foundation for Rural Service, is again sponsoring a contest for high school juniors to win what has been referred to as a “trip of a lifetime”.

One high school student will be selected to receive an all-expense-paid trip to Washington, D.C. to participate in the Foundation for Rural Service Youth Tour, May 31-June 4, 2023. To enter the contest, students must write a short essay that is no more than 250 words or no more than a 5-minute video, “How broadband impacts daily life in YOUR rural community?”.

Essays must be postmarked no later than February 24, 2023, and mailed to Range, Attn: Youth Tour, PO Box 127, Forsyth, MT 59327 or emailed to youthtour@range.net. For complete details including complete eligibility requirements, visit range.net/community.

The Youth Tour is a chance for students to visit our nation’s capital and learn about rural broadband, share their community’s story with key legislative, regulatory, and government figures as well as a forum for them to meet and interact with their peers from other rural communities. For more about Youth Tour information and photos, please visit the Foundation for Rural Service at frs.org.
