The Board will appoint a new Trustee to fill the unexpired term (per Article IV, Section 6 of the Cooperative bylaws). To be considered for appointment to this position, The Board will accept applications from eligible members who qualify to fill the position of Trustee. To qualify as a trustee (per Article IV, Section 3 of the Cooperative bylaws), candidates must (a) be current members of Range Telephone, (b) maintain their principal residence in the area served by the Cooperative and in the district which that person is to represent, (c) no person shall be eligible who is in any way employed by, or financially interested in, a competing enterprise or a business engaged in selling communication service or supplies, or constructing or maintaining communication facilities, other than a business operating on a cooperative non-profit-basis for the purpose of furthering rural telephone or other communications service. In addition, no member will be appointed if he/she is related to a current employee of Range Telephone.

Anyone interested in being considered to fill the remaining term of James Dahle should submit a letter to the Board of Trustees which provides a biographical background and your reason for wanting to become a Trustee by January 19, 2021. The Board will consider all qualified applicants and may require the finalists to attend a Board meeting prior to their selection.
